Drafting Design

 Students completing the Drafting Design program at Southern State Community College will  

• Visualize and solve problems involving two points, lines, curve surfaces, planes and intersections.
• Use schematic diagrams, micro-electronic diagrams, printed circuit diagrams, electrical power systems, and electrical drawings for architectural plans.
• Demonstrate an understanding of vectors and forces as applied to trusses, flames, beams, walls and machine parts.
• Demonstrate understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems for power transmissions and controls.
• Demonstrate the ability to manually program for numerical control machines, following recommendations from EIA/AIA.
• Demonstrate a knowledge of surveying techniques.
