Respiratory Care

 Students completing the Respiratory Care program at Southern State Community College will  

• Demonstrate the ability to perform duties of advanced respiratory care practitioners.
• Successfully attempt the certified and registered respiratory therapy examinations.
• Demonstrate assessment and intervention skills necessary of an advanced respiratory practitioner during routine and critical care of patients.
• Exhibit the legal and ethical behavior necessary of an advanced respiratory care practitioner.
• Proficiently assist physicians in performance of specialty respiratory procedures appropriate to the advanced respiratory practitioner.
