Child Care Provider Training

Southern State Community College, Corporate and Community Services, in partnership with the Highland and Fayette county Departments of Job and Family Services, continue the campaign to protect our children by offering classes to childcare providers in Highland and Fayette Counties.  The core classes include American Heart Saver CPR, First Aid, Home Safety, Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse, Behavior Management, Food Safety, Nutrition and Communicable Diseases.  Successful completion of these classes and others may lead to child care certification by the CDJFS..  For more information contact Kathy Smith at CDJFS, Highland County (937) 393-4278, ext. 237 or Veda Schafer at CDJFS, Fayette County (740) 335-0350.  To register for classes contact:
