Obtaining a Courtesy Card

The LRC issues courtesy cards to residents of the community for a two-year period.

There is no cost for a courtesy card.

To obtain a courtesy card, complete the application to obtain a courtesy card available at any campus LRC.

A courtesy card holder may borrow OhioLINK items at any time and from any location. Access to licensed OhioLINK databases, however, is only available on campus. Remote access to licensed OhioLINK databases is prohibited for courtesy card holders.

All OhioLINK policies and procedures for lost or damaged items apply to holders of courtesy cards.

What is a Courtesy Card?

Courtesy Cards are library cards for community members who are not SSCC students, faculty, or staff.

Who is eligible to get a Courtesy Card?

Anyone not taking classes at SSCC, and not a member of the SSCC faculty or staff, can get a courtesy card. Applicants under age 18 should get permission from a parent or guardian. We have issued Courtesy Cards to local hospitals, educators, out-of-state visitors browsing through our collections, and students from other colleges/universities who wish to use our facilities over the holidays or between quarters/semesters at their own institution.
