SSCC to Hold Band and Christmas Concert

Southern State Community College is pleased to announce its upcoming community band and SSCC singers Christmas concert. Scheduled for Fri. evening, Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m., the band and singers will be performing “a selection of favorites” that is guaranteed to get everyone in the holiday spirit!

This festive event will include many songs of Christmas, as well as a couple of pieces by Hodge Drake, a local resident from the area, and an accompanist for the group known as Cheryl Porter. The musical will be assisted by Jennie Harner playing the flute and piano along with Vanessa Gard, one of the singers on recorder, also presenting.

This holiday event is free, open to the public, and will take place at the Edward K. Daniels auditorium on the central campus in Hillsboro. Everyone is invited to this cheerful concert and a good time of holiday cheer is promised to be had by all who attend!
