SSCC to auction 1993 Dodge Shadow- Proceeds go to United Way

Southern State Community College business professor Peggy Roark, in conjunction with Matt Day of Brown County Auto in Russellville, is coordinating a special auction to benefit the United Way. The auction will be held Mon., Nov. 29, beginning at 1 p.m. on the college’s south campus.

The item to be auctioned is a 1993 Dodge Shadow ES. The blue, four-cylinder vehicle has an automatic transmission, air conditioning, and approximately 103,000 miles. The highest bidder will be responsible for the taxes; Brown County Auto will pay the licensing fee. Accepted forms of payment include cash or check. Proceeds from the auction will be divided; half will go to Brown County Auto and the other half to the United Way.

“We are grateful to Brown County Auto for their generous donation,” commented Roark. “In addition, we are pleased to raise money for such a worthy cause as the United Way.”
