SSCC Announces Top Trick-or-Treat Winners
“Support Our Troops of Highland County” (below) was one of three
winners at Southern State Community College’s Safe Trick-or-Treat
night for having the most creative set-up while passing out candy to
the local trick-or-treaters. An army jeep, flags, and colorful
spider webs were some of the unique decorations that accompanied
their booth. Those pictured include: (Back l to r) Steve Witham,
Safe Trick-or-Treat Event Coordinator and plaque presenter; Sarah
Ryan; Paulette Donley; Red Arthur and Dick Donley. (Front l to r)
Emily Bloom, SSCC Phi Theta Kappa President and plaque presenter and
Jennifer Minzler, SSCC Students In Action Head Facilitator and
plaque presenter.
Sunrise Sunset Daycare (below) was also one of three winners at
Southern State Community College’s Safe Trick-or-Treat night for
having the most creative trick-or-treat booth. The Wizard of Oz
theme was definitely a big hit with all who were in attendance.

Western
Southern (below) was another business that was selected as one of
the most creative booths in attendance for the evening’s
festivities. Their decorative lights and playground of Halloween
fun provided a spooky thrill to the trick-or-treaters. Those
pictured are as follows: Emily Bloom, SSCC Phi Theta Kappa President
and plaque presenter; Melissa Stone, representing Western Southern;
Amy Holzlweiht, representing Western Southern; Steve Witham, Safe
Trick-or-Treat Event Coordinator and plaque presenter; and Jennifer
Minzler, SSCC Students in Action Head Facilitator and plaque
presenter.
