SSCC holds second annual film festival
(4.25.08) HILLSBORO - Independent film makers are encouraged to participate in the second annual Southern State Community College Film Festival scheduled for
Fri., May 23 at 5 p.m. Organized by a group of student film enthusiasts, the film festival will be held at the college’s central campus in Hillsboro.
“Last year’s film festival featured six short films created by local artists,” said Richard Haines, one of the students organizing the event. “The films ranged from documentary to comedy to horror.”
Film entries must be in DVD format, and labeled by title, artist and the artist’s contact information. Entries are limited to 40 minutes maximum in length per participant. Entries will be accepted from Apr. 22 through May 16 and may be delivered to the Learning Resources Center (LRC) at South Campus, 12681 US Route 62, Sardinia, or to Dr. Headley’s office at North Campus, 1850 Davids Drive, Wilmington. The South LRC is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Film entries may also be submitted by mail to SSCC, South Campus LRC, Attention Richard Haines, 12681 US Route 62, Sardinia, Ohio 45171.
