Volley for the Cure at SSCC

The Southern State Community College women’s volleyball team will be hosting Volley for the Cure on Sun., Oct. 5 where they will take on Miami University – Hamilton. The game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. in the college’s Patriot Center in Hillsboro.

The purpose of Volley for the Cure is to educate about and increase awareness of breast cancer among students, faculty, and staff as well as the community, and secondarily to raise funds for breast cancer research. This event is dedicated to all men and women who have been touched by breast cancer with the hope that this devastating disease will one day be cured.

The SSCC women’s volleyball team includes Jordan Allard of Hillsboro, Kristi Beasley of West Union, Emily Cole of Bethel Tate, Nicole Herbert of North Adams, Taylor Jodrey of North Adams, Rachel Kiser of Hillsboro, Tracey Lightle of Leesburg, Ashlee Liston of West Union, Katrina Michael of Whiteoak, Kayla Norris of Whiteoak, Morgan Wait of Hillsboro, and Sarah Wertsbaugh of Hillsboro.
