respiratory care program honors 2009 graduates
Southern State
Community College’s third graduating class in the respiratory
care program was honored during a ceremony held Dec. 12, 2009.
The program, which began in 2005, graduated its first class in
2007.
Class
representative Kristy Hadden provided the welcome. Following the
welcome, the graduates were addressed with comments by Jennifer
Mattachione, director of clinical education, James Burton,
advisory committee member, and Dr. Sherry A. Stout,
then-president of Southern State Community College. Dr. Ryan
McCall, SSCC vice president of academic affairs, led the
presentation of certificates to the graduates. The health care
oath was administered by James Samoya, past director of clinical
education, and graduate Jeanette Musselman introduced the class
video which was created for her classmates. Closing comments
were delivered by Chyane Collins, director of Southern State’s
respiratory care program.

Jerry Butcher

Jeff Davison
-- “Jeff does a great job and will make a great RRT one
day...independent and quick to volunteer...open to constructive
comments, self starter, very helpful and detail oriented...Jeff
is always professional and helpful, he is a pleasure to
teach...very inquisitive, very caring and compassionate about
his patients and has great bedside manners, he will make an
excellent therapist someday.”
Amanda Fosbrink
-- “Amanda is always willing to help, she asks appropriate
questions and listens to the response...she is great to work
with, can trust her judgment...Amanda did a fantastic job, she
has great people skills and keeps her cool when the pressure is
on...very observant, great interaction with patients,
professional at all times...good patient communication.”
Kristy Hadden
