  • The Southern State Community College Board of Trustees will meet 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the conference room of Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley, 215 Hughes Blvd., Mt. Orab.
  • Veteran's Day Concert SSCC band to perform Nov. 10 Veterans Day concert
  • The Southern State Community Band will honor our nation’s veterans with a Veterans Day concert 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on Southern State Community College’s Central Campus.
  • Garden SSCC hosts Paranormal Investigators for Oct. 29 event
  • An Ohio group known as Paranormal Scientific Investigators (PSI) will present a free special event 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 in the Learning Resources Center on Southern State Community College’s Fayette Campus.

  • In recognition of excellence and an ongoing commitment to children, the Patri-Tots Learning Center on Central Campus (Hillsboro) of Southern State Community College has received a One-Star Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) award from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

  • Does a career in aviation sound like the perfect path for you? Through a new partnership agreement, Southern State Community College and Great Oaks Career Campuses collaboratively offer an FAA-certified associate’s degree in Engineering: Aviation Maintenance.

  • Appalachian Skills Camp Student SSCC plans Appalachian Skills Camp from June 17–21
  • There are lots of summer camps, but only one like the Appalachian Skills Camp. Designed for students entering grades 4 and up, the 2013 Appalachian Skills Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, June 17–21, at Southern State Community College’s South Campus.
  • Over the Tavern Auditions "Over the Tavern" auditions May 24 at Southern State
  • Auditions for SSCC Theatre’s upcoming production of Tom Dudzick’s "Over the Tavern" will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on Southern State Community College’s Central Campus.

  • The membership of one of higher education’s most recognized honor societies, Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), was enhanced by the induction of several new members at an April 12 ceremony on the Central Campus of Southern State Community College.

  • SSCC Theatre proudly presents Ken Ludwig’s "Lend Me a Tenor," playing 7:30 p.m. on April 5 and 6, and 3:30 p.m. on April 7, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on Southern State Community College’s Central Campus.
  • Tea Pot SSCC to host annual Women’s Tea on March 13
  • Southern State Community College will celebrate National Women’s History Month with its annual Women’s Tea planned for 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, in the Appalachian Gateway Center on the college’s South Campus.

  • Entrepreneurship is not about "taking a job," it’s all about creating your own dream career. In recognition of National Entrepreneurship Week, Southern State Community College is hosting "Let’s Talk Entrepreneurship" informational sessions Feb. 19 and 20 on all four campus locations.
