Nature of Work: Early childhood professionals are responsible for planning daily programs, providing caring and nurturing environments, and utilizing community resources to enrich programs and to support the needs of young children and their families.
Related Job Titles: Pre-kindergarten teacher, associate teacher, preschool/child care teacher, nanny, infant/toddler caregiver, or children’s activities coordinator for hospitals, group homes, resorts, etc. Note: The Early Childhood Education degree does not include certification for public school pre-Kindergarten classrooms.
