Nature of the Profession: Food Processing and Technology is a diverse discipline which requires a combined understanding of many sub-disciplines within the field. The exact nature of the profession is dictated by the area of specialization the individual chooses. The options available to a two-year degree recipient include entry level positions with governmental agencies, technical assistance and/or sales positions with the agri-chemical industry or the horticulture industry.
