Either this Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) test or the ACT is required to meet admission criteria.  (ACT registration packets are available in the Student Services Office on any campus.)  Students must also complete both the general College Application for Admission and the appropriate Health Science Program Application (Practical Nursing, Registered Nursing, or Respiratory Care).

An interview with the Director of Nursing or designee is required after all admission criteria have been met. Applicants must make an appointment with the Nursing Department to be officially placed on the waiting list for a position.  Respiratory Care students should contact the Respiratory Care Program Director after completing the Pre-Entrance Test (or ACT) to schedule an interview.

During months when inclement weather may cause college closings, please listen to your local radio stations for closing information, or call the college to hear the prerecorded message that is posted when the college is closed.  When the college reopens, call the Business Office to reschedule your test.

Applicants to Health Sciences programs should be aware that fingerprinting and/or criminal background checks will be required by health care agencies before allowing admission to clinical facilities for required clinical practice, and will be required before taking State Licensure Examinations.  A past felony or misdemeanor conviction may disqualify him/her from taking the State Licensure Exam.

If you have questions, please call 800.628.7722 or 937.393.3431, extension 2640 for the Nursing Department or extension 5620 for the Respiratory Care Program Director.
