Early Admission Application Form
In recognition of the need for
advanced educational opportunities for qualified high school
students, Southern State offers early admission to selected students who
complete the following steps:
- Present evidence of having
completed the sophomore year of high school.
- Provide Southern State with a written
recommendation from the high school principal or guidance
counselor indicating approval of the student’s specific plan of
action.
- Have demonstrated superior overall
academic achievement as evidenced by a transcript which must
accompany his/her Application for Early Admission.
- Reflect a level of personal and
social maturity that would make it possible for the student to
function adequately in a college atmosphere.
Approved early admission students may
carry one course each quarter during the regular academic year and a
maximum of one course per A Term, B Term, or Quarter term for the
Summer Quarter.
Under certain circumstances, arrangements may be made to enable high
school juniors or seniors to carry more than one course per term.
These arrangements must be approved in advance.
Any deviations from the above procedures must be approved by the Vice
President of Academic Affairs. |
