At United Producers Inc., we believe There’s Value in Belonging. Part of this value is giving back to our cooperative, which is why we are proud to support the children of our farmer membership. This year UPI is offering 32 scholarships that will help finance further education for the future generation of agriculturalists throughout the Midwest.

For each UPI district one scholarship will be available to a graduating high school senior and one scholarship will be available to a student attending a college or technical school. Previous UPI scholarship winners are not eligible to win another scholarship.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be a Preferred Member of UPI or a child or grandchild of a Preferred Member. To be a Preferred Member, you must have paid the membership fee and marketed at least one head of livestock at UPI. Preferred Membership will be based on 2011 records.
• Must be a student currently attending, or a 2012 graduating high school senior enrolled in, a college or technical school, studying an agriculturerelated field.
• Completed application and essay (500-1,000 words).
• Payments will be made after winners begin college or technical school and the selected recipients must submit validation of attending their respective college or technical school.
