Trustee Medical Assisting Scholarship

General Requirements:  Trustees Scholarships are granted by the Board of Trustees of Southern State Community College to encourage worthy students to pursue their academic careers at the college.  Except as noted, Trustees Scholarships require that the student enroll for and complete a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours each quarter.  Additional requirements are listed below.  Students are strongly advised to seek the help of a faculty advisor before selecting a program scholarship rather than other scholarships for which they may be eligible.

Partial or full scholarship given to outstanding students majoring in one of the SSCC Medical Assisting programs.  Applicants may be interviewed and recommended by a Medical Assisting Department faculty.  The scholarship amount will be determined annually based on funding availability.   Recipient must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 each quarter in order to continue receiving the scholarship for subsequent quarters.  Recipient must be registered and complete full-time enrollment each quarter to remain eligible.  Scholarship is not renewable, however the recipient may apply annually for this scholarship.
