Trustee Math/Science Scholarship

General Requirements:  Trustees Scholarships are granted by the Board of Trustees of Southern State Community College to encourage worthy students to pursue their academic careers at the college.  Except as noted, Trustees Scholarships require that the student enroll for and complete a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours each quarter.  Additional requirements are listed below.  Students are strongly advised to seek the help of a faculty advisor before selecting a program scholarship rather than other scholarships for which they may be eligible.

Partial or full scholarships are available depending on departmental criteria.  Applicants must be interviewed and recommended by a Mathematics or Science faculty advisor and enroll in and pass, with a grade of C or better, at least one science or mathematics class included in the Transfer Module.  A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 must be maintained to continue to receive a scholarship.  English classes below ENGL 101 or mathematics classes below MATH 120 may not be counted toward the 12 credit minimum.
