TLTR Meeting
October 1,
1999
Minutes
This upcoming year should be a year of activities, rather than planning/assessment. Last year, we did a good job assessing where we are and the resources we have available. We also need to communicate soon to the faculty about our discoveries and ask them to take part in discussions/planning about where we are going.
This
year, we would like to “kick off” with a Technology Day in December after
classes are out, when faculty are not otherwise distracted by classes. We will invite all to participate, but
understand that because of schedules, some individuals will not be able to
participate. This situation would be
the same if we choose to have the Technology Day during the quarter as well.
Some
of the things we would like to cover during the Technology Day include:
Where we have been
Outside speaker
Planning for the future
An opportunity for faculty input
We
should survey faculty in advance to see what issues they would like covered or
what they think the issues are.
A
letter should go out now signed by all members of the TLTR (to show faculty
involvement).
