Sue Evans, Director/Instructor of The “Your Place” Program,
was hired in 1989 to serve this disadvantaged, underserved
population at Southern State Community College. Sue holds a
Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Organizational
Management from Wilberforce University. She is certified as
a qualified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
and certified to administer the Prepare/Enrich Inventories
to assist in building better marriages. Sue continues to
submit grant requests to assist this population and was
recently awarded a grant to publish and promote this
workbook from the Verizon Foundation. She has been selected
for inclusion in the Marquis Who’sWho in
America, Who’sWho in the World, Who’sWho in American
Education, Who’sWho of American Women,
and the Manchester Who’s Who Among Executive and
Professional Women “Honors Edition”. Broken Wings
Fly, compiled by C. Sue Evans, is a compilation of
writings from widows, single parents, and homemakers, and
was published in 2002.
Amy Sapp is
from Manchester, Ohio. She is
happily engaged and the mother of two. Amy took the “Your
Place” Class in 2001 and in 2005, graduated from Southern
State Community College with an Associate of Applied Science
Degree in Human and Social Services Technology. Amy is
currently working on her Bachelor Degree in Health and Human
Services Administration and will earn this degree in
November of 2007, from Wilberforce University in Xenia,
Ohio. Amy is also an Instructor of the "Your Place" for the
Adult Learner Class and looks forward to teaching many
more classes and helping many more adult students. Amy
contributes her confidence and the ability to reach her
goals to the Your Place Program and says, “I’m here, I’m
getting ahead, and I won’t stop until I’m Dr. Amy Sapp”.
