Southern State sponsors several athletic teams that compete at the state level in the Ohio Collegiate Athletic Conference (OCAC) and the national conference of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). These teams include men’s basketball and soccer, women’s basketball, softball, and volleyball. Southern State may award scholarships to student-athletes who participate in these sports. Men’s baseball is offered as a club sport and participants do not receive athletic scholarships. If you are interested in participating in athletics at Southern State, please contact the Athletic Director. The Athletic Department is located in the Patriot Center at Central Campus in Hillsboro, Ohio.
Physicals are due August 1. You may print the required form from our site or pick one up in the Athletic Department in the Central Campus Patriot Center. Physicals can be obtained from HealthQuest or your own physician. Contact the Athletic Dept. at 800.628.7722 x2697 or 2623.
