At Southern State, we put the COMMUNITY in Community College.
Our community outreach programs address real-world problems by linking the communities we serve with the vast resources here at Southern State. We welcome the opportunity to share our expertise and enthusiasm with our communities – businesses, government, organizations and, of course, the people.
Southern State's facilities can be reserved for community events, competitions, meetings and other activities, while our Workforce Development and Community Services Office provides customized training to local businesses and non-credit continuing education for anyone. On all four of our campuses we host special events including theatrical performances, jazz concerts, world-renowned guest lectures, art displays and much more.
