Community College Acceleration Program (CCAP)

also known as "SNAP to Skills"

The SNAP to Skills Program is designed to offer financial assistance to eligible individuals through the form of financial aid while attending college. Funding includes, tuition coverage, textbook expenses, laptop loaner program availability, gas cards, etc. Students seeking financial assistance to help offset college costs may qualify for this program. To determine eligibility, an online screening assessment must be completed prior to making the referral to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS).

The online assessment is quick and easy to use and shouldn't take more than a minute to complete. To access the online screening assessment, please visit: https://ssp.benefits.ohio.gov/apspssp/ssp2.portal_nfpb=true&_st=&_windowLabel=amIEligible15&_urlType=action&_state=maximized&wlpamIEligible15_render=welcome&wlpamIEligible15_javax.portlet.action=maximize&OWASP_CSRFTOKEN=9M58-EP6W-TYRY-GFWP-AW1G-DEH1-HIP2-KX9E#wlp_amIEligible15 then click on the "What benefits could I receive?" link.

If the screening tool indicates that you may be eligible, the next step is to contact your local ODJFS to apply (see contact table below). You must contact the ODJFS office in the county they reside in.
