Design concepts of the Technology Innovation Center

Southern State Community College is excited to launch the Technology Innovation Center (TIC), a transformative renovation project designed to expand opportunities in information technology, cybersecurity, and emerging digital fields. Located at the Central Campus in Hillsboro, the TIC will modernize existing computer science facilities into a state-of-the-art learning environment featuring updated classrooms, collaborative labs, and technology-focused innovation spaces that support hands-on, project-based learning. Supported through state capital funding and regional investment, the project reflects Southern State's commitment to preparing students for high-demand careers while strengthening workforce development across southern Ohio. Construction and renovation activities are scheduled to begin following project approvals, with completion anticipated upon final buildout phases as the College works with Perkins Carmark Construction LLC and project partners to deliver a dynamic hub for students, industry collaboration, and community engagement.
