Apply for Admission
Southern State makes it easy to apply for college! We have no mandatory grade point averages, specific test requirements or other intimidating admission guidelines.
Attention NEW Students: Scroll down the page to view the Steps to Apply.
Attention CCP Students: If you are a student in grades 7-12 and interested in College Credit Plus (CCP) please complete the College Credit Plus Application for Admission.
Attention Returning Students: If you are a Returning SSCC Student who has missed one or more terms, please complete the Application for Returning Students.
Attention Visiting Students: If you are attending another college/university; however, would like to register for one or more classes with SSCC to transfer back to your home institution, please complete the Visting Student Application.
Currently Accepting Applications for:
- Spring Semester 2025-2026 – Semester begins January 12, 2026
- Summer Semester 2025-2026 – Semester begins May 26, 2026
- Fall Semester 2026-2027 – Semester begins August 24, 2026
Steps to Apply
Step 1 – Complete a New Student Application for Admission

Spring term begins January 12, 2026 - Summer & Fall 2026 Application
Select this application for the Summer or Fall 2026 terms. Summer and Fall applications will be processed after January 12, 2026.
There is no fee or deadline to submit the application for admission. If you are a student in grades 7-12 and interested in College Credit Plus (CCP) please complete the College Credit Plus Application for Admission. If you are a Returning Student who has missed one or more terms, please complete the Application for Returning Students.
Step 2 – Request Transcripts
Contact your high school to request that your final transcript be sent to the Office of Admission.
Step 3 – Complete a Placement Assessment Test
Continue to Placement Assessment.
Step 4 – Schedule an appointment to meet with an Academic Advisor
Meeting with an Academic Advisor is required for your first term of enrollment. Schedule an appointment by calling 937-393-3431, ext. 2825 or by emailing advising@sscc.edu.
NOTE: Southern State Community College does not participate in the Department of Homeland Security's Student Exchange and Visitor Program (SEVP). As such, the College does not accept non-US resident students for enrollment.
