"The mission of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize academic achievement of college students and to provide opportunities for them to grow as scholars and leaders."

For more than 100 years, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society has helped millions of high-achieving college students reach their full potential. We don't just recognize their academic success; we give them opportunities to develop professional and leadership skills, earn scholarships, explore career paths - and make their worlds a lot bigger.

There's no better time to join PTK's Alpha Omicron Eta Chapter here at SSCC! Recognized as 2020's Most Distinguished Ohio Region Chapter, the chapter achieved many historical "firsts". The "Catch a Shining Star Award" was received for becoming a 5-star chapter, the highest level awarded. As a REACH achiever, the chapter's rate for Recognizing Excellence in Acceptance and Completion with Honors needs you to continue the trend. As a new member, you are in good company with Savannah Frost, named as Ohio Region's Most Valuable Member. Along with this good company, you are supported by faculty, staff, and administration, including Horizon Award winner, Susan Morris, your chapter advisor and Dr. Kevin Boys recognized as PTK's 2020 Shirley B.
