Follow the steps below to change your password.

  • Press the messages button on the phone
  • Put in your password
  • Take option 4 for set-up options
  • Take option 3 for personal settings
  • Take option 1 to change your password
  • Follow the directions
    • Enter your new password
    • Press the # sign
    • Enter your new password again
    • Press the # sign

Follow the steps below to change your recorded name.

  • Press the messages button on the phone

  • Take option 2 to change your recorded name
  • Follow the directions
    • Tells you the current recorded name
    • To keep the current recorded name, press *
    • To change the name, say the new name at the tone and press the #

Conference Calls

Follow the steps below to make a conference call.

  • Dial the first person on your list or you may be currently talking to that person (this can be an outside line or an extension at any campus).
  • Press the more button showing on the digital screen.
  • Press the Conrn button (this will only show if you already have someone on the line).
  • Now dial the next number or extension number you want.
  • When that party comes on the line, press the Confrn button again.
  • You should now have both parties on the line for a conference all.
  • You can have 4 persons on the conference call. That will include yourself.
  • Add the other parties by following the above steps.

Fowarding Your Phone

Follow the steps below to forward your phone.

  • Press the CFwdALL button on the phone
  • Enter in the extension you want to forward your calls to
  • The display will show that you are forwarded and to what extension
  • To take the Forward off, just press the CFwdALL button again

Want all calls to go to voice mail and not disturb you?

  • Press the CFwdALL button on the phone
  • Press the star (*) key
  • Enter your extension number
  • The display will show that you are forwarded and to what extension
  • To take the Forward off, just press the CFwdALL button again

Access Your Voice Mail from Home or Another Extension

Follow the steps below to access your voice mail from home or another extension.

  • If calling from a remote location (ex: home, cell phone, or etc), call on the local number or 800 number. After getting the audix message, press *, then you will be asked for your ID (your extension number) followed by the # sign. Then for your password. You should hear the voice saying how many messages you have.

Another Extension (any campus).

  • Dial your extension.
  • When you hear your own greeting, saying you are not there or available, press the * key.
  • You will then be asked for your ID. This is your extension number. Key in your extension number and press the # key.
  • You will then be asked for your password. Key this in and you should start receiving the voice telling you how many messages you have.

You can also change your regular or alternate message from home. Just do the above then take option 4 for set up options

Calling someone and get their voice mail?? Don't want to leave a message?

When you get the voice mail, just enter the extension of the next person you want to try to call.

How to Change your Ring Tone

Follow the steps below to change the ring tones on your phone.

  • Press the settings button on the phone.
  • When the LCD screen gives you a menu, press the down arrow button to highlight the 'Ring Type'.
  • Press the select button.
  • Only two choices show. That is really the two lines on lines on your phone. You can set each line to have a different ring type.
  • Keep the first line highlighted, press the select button. Now you see several types of ring tones. You can scroll down thru them with the up and down arrow.
  • If you see one you would like to hear, press the play button.
  • When you find one you like, press the select button then press the OK button. It will take you back to the two lines menu screen.
  • Now you can change the tone on the second line.
  • Press the down arrow so the second line is highlighted.
  • Press the select button. Different ring types appear on the LCD screen.
  • Go thru the same procedure as above by using the up and down arrows, playing the tone till you hear one you like.
  • Press the select button then press the OK button and you go back to the two lines menu screen.
  • Press the exit button two times to get back to the original screen.

How to Transfer a Call

Follow the steps below to transfer a call.

  • After receiving a call or one you initiated, while in the call you will see a button on the screen that says TRANSFER.
  • Press the Transfer button and dial the extension you want to transfer the caller to.
  • Press the Transfer button again and hang up.
    • If you want to talk to the person you are transferring the call to, do step 2 and wait for the person to answer. After you are finished talking to them, do step 3.
    • Trying to transfer and the person you are calling is busy or you want to just leave a message and not talk to the person.
    • Send the call directly to voice mail or call directly to voice mail.
    • Just dial * and the extension number of the person.

Recording an Alternative Greeting

Follow the steps below to recording an alternative greeting.

  • Press the messages button on the phone.
  • Put in your password.
  • Take option 4 for set-up options.
  • Take option 1 for greetings.
  • The system will say which greeting is your current greeting this should be the standard greeting).
  • The system will then repeat your current greeting (whichever one it is).
  • Take option 3 to edit your greetings.
  • It will then give you the option of which greetings you can change.
    • Standard – This is the regular normal daily greeting.
    • Closed – Plays message from 5:00 pm till 8:00 am.
    • Alternate – Plays message when out of office for length of time.
    • Busy – Plays this message if both lines busy.
    • Internal – Plays when you get internal calls only (extension to extension).
  • Press 3 to change the alternative greeting.
  • The system will repeat the current alternate greeting.
  • To rerecord the greeting, press 1.
  • After recording, press the # sign.
  • The system will repeat your recorded message.
  • To activate the message at this time, press 3.

If you record your alternate greeting ahead of time, you will not want to activate it until ready to use. In that case, do the following:

  • Record your alternate greeting by taking the steps above.
  • Do not do step 14 to activate the greeting.
  • When ready to use the alternate greeting, take steps 1 thru 6.
  • Then take option 2 to turn on your alternate greeting.

Voice Mail

Follow the steps below to manager your voice mail.

Logging into voice mail for the first time.

  • Press the messages button on the phone.
  • Phone asks for the password.
  • The password for the first time into voice mail will be sent to you via email.
  • The system welcomes you to voice mail and asks you to enter some information.
  • First asks you to record your name.
  • The system will walk you thru all the steps.
  • Next, the system wants you to record a message or choose the system one.
  • Next, you will be asked to enter a password.
  • You cannot use your extension number nor can you use the default passsword.
  • Let the system take you thru the steps and you will have your voice mail set up.
Subsequent Logins to Voice Mail

If you have messages, the light on the handset of the phone will be lit up. Also, there will be a message on the digital display saying you have so many messages. If that is not enough of an indication, the icon beside your extension number is shaped like an envelope.

To get the messages, press the message button on the phone. The system will ask for your password. Enter your password and let the system walk you thru receiving and deleting your messages.
