SSCC announces honors lists for fall semester- Southern State Community College has released its President's List and Dean's List for academic excellence for Fall Semester 2025. To be eligible for the President's List, a student must maintain a 4.0 grade point average while carrying a specific number of academic credit hours. Those who achieve the Dean's List have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0.
New Scholarship Opportunity at Southern State- Southern State's new Jump Start Scholarship is designed for graduating high school students who have no college experience. This scholarship will pay for one class (tuition, fees and books) at Southern State the summer or fall semester following high school graduation.
SSCC Board of Trustees to meet January 22- The Southern State Community College Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, on SSCC's Brown County Campus, Community Room, 351 Brooks-Malott Rd., Mt. Orab, for their regular Board meeting. The board will enter into an executive session to consider the employment, dismissal, discipline, or demotion of a public employee.
Southern State Announces 5-Week Fiber Optic Course- Southern State Community College will hold a 5-week Fiber Optic course, designed for individuals of all skill levels, that will equip students with the essential skills needed to pursue a career in the rapidly growing field of fiber optics.
Fall Semester scholarship application opens February 1 at Southern State- Students enrolled, or planning to enroll, at Southern State Community College for the Fall Semester, which begins in August, can benefit from various financial resources to help offset the cost of a college education.
