Patriot First Responder Pre-Conditioning

This course is designed to prepare the participant to pass the initial 15% required assessment to enter the training academy and significantly increase the chances of passing the minimum fitness requirements by age and gender needed to pass the Peace Officer Basic Training program. In addition, this class can be very beneficial to future police academy cadets at any institution, individuals going to enlist in any military branch, protective agencies including fire, EMTs, and ODNR. Further, this class will benefit any individuals who want to take on the challenge of seeing if they can meet or exceed a first responder level of fitness.

Program Details:

  • Location — This class will be a hybrid class that meets on Wednesdays at the Central campus, and at the Fayette County or Highland County YMCA, and Washington High School Track (Washington Court House).
  • Date — May 29th - August 14th
  • Time — Wednesdays from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Cost — $220 Per Student

Additional Requirements:

The tuition cost will include a 3-month membership to the YMCA. This membership is accessible at the Highland County and Fayette County YMCA's along with any accessible YMCA.

Registration Information:

  • Students must register for the class through SSCC Workforce Development by completing the Initial Registration Form or by calling Amanda Lewis at 937-393-3431 x 3520. Payment information must be provided before officially registering.
  • After registration is complete, the student must submit their payment to the College prior to attending. This is done by contacting the business office at (937) 393-3431 x 2652.
