Peer Review

What will you need to do as a peer reviewer?

As a peer reviewer, you will be responsible for reviewing a course and providing supportive, constructive feedback to the course developer along with the rest of the peer review team.

Many peer reviewers report that participating in this process positively affects their own online classes. Peer reviewers commit to serving on SSCC peer review teams, but may also choose to participate on review teams nation-wide.

To become a QM peer reviewer, you must have taught online at least once in the past year. Then, follow these steps:

  • 1. Complete the Applying the Online Rubric and Peer Reviewer Certification trainings.
  • 2. Submit a Peer Reviewer application and a Memo of Understanding to QM.
